Boost Hip Mobility & Lower Body Strength
Getting our bodies to move in all planes of motion is important for Joint health, stability & muscle gain.
Crossover Step Ups
Using elevated surface, use kettlebell to make mov more difficult & boost strength gain
— Stand on one leg on elevated surface like stepper. Hold weight in opposite hand
— Lower the other leg behind you until toes tap floor
— Push through your standing leg to return to starting position, then lower the elevated leg to other side
Exercise targets quads, hamstrings & adductors , all play an important role in your knees & hip health
The body can move in three planes, foreward & backwards, rotating& twisting, & side to side
Often we neglect the last two movements which can lead to instability, injury & chronic pain
Strength training in all three planes of motion can improve balance, coordination & agility leading to balanced muscle development
