Seats 9-10
Forgot last paragraph.
While physical strength is undoubtedly important, the back seats demand a unique combination of technical proficiency & mental discipline. Coaches must carefully select paddlers for these positions & not that these seats as a dumping ground for their weakest, less experienced paddlers.
Some people enjoy the challenge of water rushing by them, their timing is very important , staying in sync with paddlers in front of them. Also they can see all the paddlers in front of them. Jody P is an very experienced & efficient Row 10 paddler. Barb G has been at back the last 2 practices & think she has found her stop in the boat, connects with the water. As everyone heard Wed I don’t like row 4 - 7, have no connection with boat & water. Feel lost. I feel connected to water front or back. Physical size, height & weight, length of arms & legs dedicated where each paddlers comfort seat & row is in boat.
