Nine foods we shouldn’t eat after the age of 50

  1. Fried foods— grilling, baking, steaming is a more alternative

  2. Processed Foods—contain large amounts of salt, sugar, saturated fats

  3. 3. Refined Sugars & Flours—-lack fibre & quickly raise blood sugars. Switch to whole grain, increase legume consumption

  4. Industrial pastries & Sugary soft drinks— full of empty calories

  5. Cured meats—contain high levels of salt, saturated fats

  6. Alcoholic beverages—use moderation

  7. Excessive Salt — replace with herbs

  8. Red Meats—rich in protein but contains saturated fat that affects cholesterol

  9. Full Fat Dairy Products—high in fat


Choose fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts & whole grains. Healthy fats, olive oil, avocado
