I live in Brandon with my husband Ray and our dog Nova. We are recent empty nesters, and finding a new way of life. We have three grown daughters. Anissa lives in Alberta with her fiance Blake and multiple dogs. Rianna and Jenaya live together in an apartment here in Brandon so thankfully we get to see them regularly. I work for Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation (MASC) and have since 1997, the Monday after I graduated college. All of my girls were very competitive in their chosen sport/activities growing up so I was very busy with that until recently. Once I had time, I began working on my crafts more and have recently started selling my resin crafts at markets. Yet another thing outside my comfort zone, as I'm very much an antisocial introvert at heart. Somehow breast cancer has changed that to a certain extent. I was diagnosed with aggressive triple positive breast cancer in August 2019 at the age of 45 and went through it all. Dose dense chemo, masectomy, radiation, herceptin and Zometa infusions, and just recently finished my Zoladex injections and hormone blocker. I am in remission and grateful every day.
